How To Chart Your Path to that “Hell Yes” Tech Leadership Job (by ignoring all conventional wisdom)

Did you know that right now, it’s possible for you to walk the path towards your “Hell Yes” tech leadership job — while you ignore all conventional wisdom?

I’ll explain that in just a second.

But first, let’s talk about why so many tech managers fail at upgrading their careers.

The truth is there are lots of well-meaning folks out there who are TRYING to help you.

That good ‘ol friend of yours, a compassionate colleague, maybe even that leadership expert who your company brought in to do a workshop.

They all may WANT to help you reach the next level in your career, but if you asked them to be 100% honest, they’ll admit they don’t REALLY know how.

They’ll make good educated guesses, though.

They might tell you how to run your 1:1’s better, how to manage your boss, and how to delegate more effectively.

They might also tell you to update your LinkedIn profile and get out there and network — especially if you’re on the job market but even if you’re not.

All of this makes sense. And it’s not completely wrong.

So some of their advice may work. A little bit. For a time.

But here’s the thing…

It’s just a bunch of advice — with no underlying structure — coming from people who are NOT experts in helping tech managers upgrade their careers.

It’s advice coming from people who have NO CLUE how all of these tactics — some of which do work — actually come together to form an overarching, proven SYSTEM to help you upgrade your career.

And if they do claim to have a system, ask them: “Is this system proven to work with hundreds of decisive, committed, and resourceful tech managers?”

The answer will be no.
